Yeah, only, we have darn good reasons to believe they'll eventually try to
pull that one out. Of course, you could say that of almost everywhere, but
here in Kanada, the darn govt is every-fucking-where. 55% of the gross
domestic product of the whole fucking country is "recycled" to the govt and
they don't show any sign of trying to stop...
The brutality of the IRS might be worse than our RevCan, but overall, our
looters suck way much more blood that yours. Not counting all the exodus of
capitals who shy away from our kollectivist rulers.
Wise tip: Don't plan to retire to Kanada...
Maybe to you USA-ers, this post seems ridiculous, but for me, a Kanadian, I
would not be surprized at-fucking-all if the govt were to force ISPs to pay a
special tax on volume. And there would be no obvious circumventing via other
protocols for they could very well put a monthly tax on ISP services jsut as
they made the sales tax non-reimbursable for telecom services.
In Kanada, we pay provincial tax on the portion of the federal tax that was
levied on the import duty that was levied on the excise tax of american
goods... And beside, this is not counting all the value-added that was added
simply to pay the importer's own taxes.
When we walk, only 4 1/2 toes work to move our lard, the remaining 5 1/2 works
for our government.
They are just about ready to create 7 millions of criminal indictable of up to
ten years in jail for not filling the paperwork for registering your firearms,
and 99.95% of all thoses 7 million people are law abiding citizens... So you
think that they'd have qualms about levying and ISP tax?
Never in 100 of their clueless years!
