What would prevent them?  Only, if private e-currencies emerge, some people 
will try to use private currency as much as possible.  The more the govt tax, 
the more people will resort to private currency to avoid taxation.  When govt 
stop taxing, who'll want to put a price on their heads anyways?

Again, when naysayers realise that e-$ are not taxable, they'll stop saying
