* Ok, let's just ban all coats, as even a wind breaker could be used to conceal a weapon
* Ok, let's just ban all backpacks, gym bags, sachels, breif cases, the students can *carry* the books they need in their arms, let's not provide them any privacy (place to conceal any weapons)
* Oh, don't forget to ban the baggy jeans - all jeans for that matter, it could indicate involvement in a *gang*

Denver-Area Schools Ban Trench Coats
DENVER (AP) -- There's a new rule in some Denver-area schools following
this week's deadly rampage at Columbine High School: No more trench
coats. School districts in Denver, Douglas County and parts of Adams
County are banning students from wearing the dusters. Officials say the
coats are intimidating and inappropriate and could be used to hide
weapons. The two gunmen belonged to a school group known as the
Trenchcoat Mafia.
