The girls from R&B supergroup Destiny's Child will release solo albums in
the new year (2001) all at the same time. Lead singer Beyonce Knowles has
stated that the projects are not intended to compete with one another and
that hopefully it will help the group by spreading their fan base
further. The new Destiny's Child album is expected in February of 2001,
with the new single "Survivor" set for release this coming January.

Mobb Deep rapper Prodigy was held up at gunpoint in Queens, NY last week.
Prodigy had just finished filming a music video and the assailants kept
it thoro by relieving him of jewelry worth more than $343,000!
