Announcing the beta launch of www.palmos.com

Dear Solution Provider:

On Monday March 27, Palm has put up on the web the beta version of a new 
website, www.palmos.com, focused on the Palm OS(R) platform and the 
Palm(TM) Economy. This website features a newly redesigned Development 
Zone, which will make it easier to find the information you need quickly. 
Palmos.com also features exciting new information about our licensees, 
global and enterprise partners, the Palm OS platform and the Palm Economy.

We expect to launch the final version of the web site later this spring. 
Though it is already publicly accessible, we are not going to publicize 
it yet, and we ask you not to publicize it either. Why? Before we go with 
the final version, which will be supported by a strong marketing effort, 
we want to make sure that we can test the site and improve  it. And there 
is nothing like a 'real life' try to test a site.

Since we wanted to have a smooth transition to the new site, and give you 
time to get used to it, we'll continue to maintain the current 
Development Zone, accessible from the Palm.com website, until we're sure 
all the features you're used to are fully functional in the new site.  
We'll communicate to you the switchover date when the Development Zone 
exists solely on www.palmos.com.  At that time, the Provider Pavilion 
will have the new PalmOS.com look and feel.


We would appreciate that you do not communicate the URL or use it in any 
communication material for the time being. When we move from beta to the 
final site, we'll let you know in advance when you can use the URL 
publicly.
