This has all the earmarks of another urban legend (akin to the 'sabatoged'
printers supposedly sold to Iraq---some reporter couldn't recognize an
April fools joke).
Anyhow the arithmetic problem in the first Pentiums was traced to missing
entries in a lookup table,not some exotic plot. It appeared under such
specialized conditions, there is no way at all to predictably influence to
behavior of an unknown program like a missile control.
