Why do you ignore the suffering of Orthodox Christians?

President Clinton,
Why do you ignore
the suffering
of Orthodox
Christians?
200,000 Cypriot refugees have been prevented from returning to their
homes for 25 years by 30,000 Turkish troops.
Why is no forcible action being taken against Turkey to compel their
return?
600,000 Orthodox Christians (Greeks and Vlachs) are being persecuted in
the Northern Epiros region of Southern Albania. They are guaranteed
autonomy under international agreements going back to 1914.
Why are you not calling for their autonomy the way you are for Albanians
in Kosovo?
The leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army have stated publicly that after
they "liberate" Kosovo, they intend to go after areas in the former Yugoslav
Republic of Macedonia and Northern Greece to create a Greater Albania.
Why don't Washington and NATO compel them to renounce all claims to
any territory of their neighbors?
350,000 Orthodox Serbs were driven from their ancestral lands in Croatia
in 1995.
Why are you doing nothing to force Croatia to let them return, while
bombing Serbia relentlessly to compel the return of Albanians to
Kosovo?
Earlier in this century, Turks exterminated 2,000,000 Armenians and
Greeks and carried out the most extensive ethnic cleansing in history,
forcing 1,500,000 Greeks to leave their homes in Anatolia. Yet every effort
to condemn that genocide has been opposed by your administration.
Why is Washington more tolerant when the victims are Orthodox
Christians?
Why is American foreign policy slanted against Orthodox Christians
wherever we turn?
Orthodox Christians abhor acts of ethnic or racial oppression perpetrated
by anyone at anytime. We condemn the acts of ethnic cleansing carried out
by the Milosevic government, as strongly as we condemn similar acts
carried out against our people. Help the Kosovo refugees: Punish
Milosevic. But lighten our pain too!
Most Orthodox countries fought with America in both world wars and
millions died for our shared values. We deserve better.
