May we then assume you don't call the police if someone commits a a crime involving you or your property (since this service - and others - are funded by this appropriation)?
In a democracy you get to vote for/against the bastards. If you don't like a particular goverment (of any sort) there are always other means to end their reign. You have to want it badly enough to risk a great deal & as a practical matter you need to convince a fairly large minority of the overall population to aid your cause.
