PIX and Virus Scanning

We plan to install PIX firewall and would like to know the
performance effects for running a virus check on inbound/outbound traffic.

1.  Does the Virus Checking happen on the PIX system or is the traffic routed 
to
an NT box which checks for the virus?

2.  After the packets have been checked for viruses, do the packets go back to
the PIX to be routed or NT routes them to the destination?

3.  Which virus vendor works well with PIX?
