RE: SonicWall SoHo "deny" behavior
That's odd. My Sonicwall logs say that packets are dropped, not refused. I
use a pretty standard setup, mostly defaults.
It makes me wonder if the behaviour is different from what's logged. Are
you looking at the logs or are you testing from outside? When I tested from
outside, the ports showed stealth, which indicates the packets are being
dropped not refused, correct? I recently ran a firmware upgrade, and
haven't tested since, so I hope that hasn't changed.

Subject: SonicWall SoHo "deny" behavior
The behavior I am seeing by a SonicWall SoHo when an incoming packet
matches a "Deny" rule is that the connection is *refused*. Ugh. I
want the packet to be *dropped*. Does anyone know if there's a way
to achieve this? I don't see how to do it from the manual.
-Thanks, Jim
