aw: [FW1] problem with SR and fw-1 4.0 SP2 (and 1 for that m...
Hi,
I haven't studied the licencse features of 4.0 in detail yet. But I miss
the ca (certificate authority) feature in your permanent license.
This feature did not appear in my evaluation keys, too. But it
appears in my permanent licenses.
Perhaps your problem is caused by this missing feature.
Does anybody know if there is a document available, describing
all 4.0 license features? I have not searched much yet, but if
anybody knows an URL with such information, plaese send me
an e-mail.
Bye
Andreas

We've been getting nowhere on this problem through normal channels, so
I throw it open to the group.
We upgraded from 3.0 to 4.0 and of course got all new keys. System
is Sun Sparc based. We knew about the need for the Secure Remote Key
and got those too, but, for some reason we cannot 'create new sites'
using the keys we were provided. If the user tries to 'validate' our
site they get a not licensed. But it works fine using 'demo' keys.
Our permanent keys include:
Never 4.x srsuper
Never 4.x controlx pfmx vpnstrong motif
(our vendor got us a SRSUPER (5000 user limit) instead of a SRUNLIMIT
but 5000 isn't an issue for us). These keys don't seem to allow us
to 'validate' our site from within SR 4.0. We get 'no license' errors.
If we use a demo key of
13May1999 4.x controlx pfmx oseu vpnstrong connect motif embedded ram1
srunlimit
then we can validate the site.
Questions:
Anyone else seen this?
Are we missing something from the second list of 'tokens' we
need to have to work?
Is there a problem with SRSUPER vs SRUNLIMIT?
