[FW1] Setting up a new firewall

Hi !

I have to set up a new firewall based on Firewall-1. My question now is: what hardware and OS combination should we use. I would really appreciate to hear any of your opinions. I should rather not use Windows NT - thatīs the only thing I have to take into decision.

What I think about is using an INTEL-based PC running Solaris (2.6/2.7/7 ?) or should we better buy a SUN machine. Any hints and tips ?
