Well, there is a registry key but it doesn't seems to work.
It's documented as follow:
ReportDC REG_DWORD 0 | 1
Default: 1
Suppresses the message notifying the user that their domain controller
cannot be reached. When the value of this entry is 1, the following
message is suppressed:
"A domain controller for your domain could not be contacted. You have
been logged on using cached account information. Changes made to your
profile since you last logged on may not be available."
This value entry is designed for unattended systems and for computers
working offline, such as laptop computers.
Value Meaning
0 The domain controller message is not suppressed.
1 The domain controller message is suppressed.
Note
Windows NT does not add this value entry to the Registry. You can add it
by editing the Registry or by using a program that edits the Registry.
RunLogonScriptSync REG_DWORD 0 | 1
Default: 0
Determines whether the logon script and Program Manager are
synchronized. When the logon script and the loading of Program Manager
are synchronized, Program Manager does not start until the logon script
has finished running.
Value Meaning
0 The logon script and Program Manager can run simultaneously.
1 Program Manager does not begin loading the desktop until the
logon script has finished running.
Notes
This value entry also appears in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT
\CurrentVersion\Winlogon. The HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE value applies to all
users. The HKEY_CURRENT_USER value applies only to the current user.
To change this value, use System Policy Editor.
Windows NT does not add this value entry to the Registry. You
can add it by editing the Registry or by using a program that edits the
Registry.
Another very small problem, not related with Securemote...actually.
When:
- The PC is standalone, no net connected. (Different HW profile with
network disabled)
- The users logs on to the domain.
- The cached information are used because ofcourse the domain is not
present.
- NT displays a logic message : Logon message: The domain controller
can't be found....
- Dialing internet and the VPN with the SSO is no problem, Works perfect
!
The question is:
- How to avoid the Logon Message saying that the domain can't be found ?
- any registry trick for that ??
