[FW1] Trying again - Microsoft Routing and Remote Access Service

I guess I wasn't clear so I'll try to be more specific. The customer wants
to use RRAS for the gui based IP routing aspect only. They will not be
using PPTP, IPX, OSPF etc. They only want to use RRAS because it gives them
a gui for setting up and checking routes without having to go to the cmd
prompt. I have tested the configuration and it works. I have tried to
attack the test FW with the basic tools, and it seems no more insecure than
any other FW. But what I want to know is if anyone else knows of any
security flaws, problems etc that I might have missed with RRAS being used
just for IP routing. Anyone else use this with FW-1?

I have tested the RRAS under (FW 3.x and 4.x) on NT and the
routing works well and is very easy to setup and configure - hence the
reason that the customer wants to use it.

Unless you need IPX or another protocol to
route, this is no use.
Or maybe your customer want to use PPTP from
Microsoft.
If you plan to do this, make sure to use
version 4 of Firewall-1.

A customer mentioned that they want to use
steel head (Microsoft Routing
and
Remote Access Service) to setup routing
before I install the FW
software.
Anyone know of a reason why they should not
use this?
Thanks
Chris
