I can only speak for FW1 NT but installing 4.0 over 3.0 gives you the option
to upgrade or do a clean installation. Upgrading preserves your objects and
rulebase. For me, everything worked fine except that RIP doesn't seem to be
working 100%. The firewall is receiving RIP updates just fine but doesn't
appear to be sending any. I had no such problem under 3.0. I haven't
resolved this issue yet.

Subject: [FW1] FW upgrade
I am building a 4.0 firewall. Is there a way to take the objects and rules
database from a 3.0 firewall and import them (so to speak) into the 4.0
firewall?
Thanks
