[FW1] http halts
We upgraded to FW-1 Ver. 4 about a week ago onto Solaris 2.5.1. After
the upgrade, http services halt about once per day. One cannot get
through the firewall with http from our private network (10.x.x.x). One
CAN get through from the internal DMZ (199.x.x.x). Other services (i.e.
telnet, ping, smtp) continue to work fine from either network.
Once one does an ./fwstop and an ./fwstart everything works fine again.
I would welcome any ideas on what to look at in solving this problem.
The rule base hasn't changed, but WebSense was a problem on FW-1 3.01b
-- it would crash and reboot the server. Apparently one of the modules
that within FW-1 was problematic.
Is there a required FW-1 patch to Ver 4? Does it sound like a WebSense
related problem? I welcome any feedback or direction.
Sincerely,
Maurice Hollingsworth
