If you install the non VPN patch over a VPN version your FW will lockup etc.

		Subject:	[FW1] Solstice FW-1 v3.0b upgrade to
Checkpoint FW-1 v4.0

		Greetings,

The company I work for have taken advantage of the free
upgrade to
FW-1 v4.0 by taking out a maintenance contract with a local
reseller.
When we received the new version it was FW-1 v4.0 VPN
however we do
not use VPN and our 3.0 version was non-VPN. Our reseller
says this
doesn't matter and that we should just ignore the 'No
Encryption
License' warning when installing a new policy.

When I came to download the SP2 patch from Checkpoint there
are
separate patches for the VPN and non-VPN versions. My
question is
is it ok to use the VPN version when we don't actually use
VPN?

		Many thanks in advance,
		Roy
