Hello Marco,
we are also using WebSense since nearly one year.
If you add urls to it's custom url control you have to reload the
database. There are two possibilities to do so:
1) Stop and start WebSENSE, this will interrupt HTTP for several
minutes, as WebSENSE will load also it's own large database
or
2) If you use the daily automatic download : wait. WebSENSE will also
reload the custom url database when reloading it's own database. See the
following log entries:
Tue Apr 27 01:50:41 1999: Information: Transfer WebSENSE has
successfully transferred an updated database. This database will now be
loaded.
Tue Apr 27 01:54:41 1999: Information: Screening Successfully loaded
WebSENSE database version 00567 dated 99-04-26.
Tue Apr 27 01:54:43 1999: Information: Screening Successfully loaded
WebSENSE supplemental database with 0 entries.
Tue Apr 27 01:54:45 1999: Information: Screening Successfully loaded
WebSENSE permit database with 12 entries.
In the last months I experienced some problems: Once a download did not
work and disabled all further downloads. Some days ago WebSENSE randomly
blocked a lot of web sites, the next day it worked ok again.
