RE: [FW1] reverse lookup being done by FW1 (3.0b)
I have simialr problems with user authentication passing through to
client authentication - if the destination is not in the client's hosts
file or dns the client hangs.
I'd love to know how to turn it off also.
Cheers

Subject: [FW1] reverse lookup being done by FW1 (3.0b)
I have problems when using user authentication on websites that don't
have a name in the DNS system.
For example, if I try to go to http://206.243.222.8/ I get a page that
says:
Failed to contact name Resolution. If I do an nslookup on the page it
returns:
*** aspen.msai.com can't find 206.243.222.8: Non-existent host/domain
If you don't go through firewall-1 the page comes up OK. Firewall-1
must be doing some sort of reverse lookup before allowing access. Is
there a way to turn that feature off?
Thanks
