This is the compaq insight manager agents that are polling to discover other
compaq devices on your network. If you point a java enabled browser towards
port 2301 ( http://yourserver:2301 ) of your server you can turn these
broadcasts off. You must login as a priviliged user first. If you haven't
changed the default passwords, a privilged user is administrator with
password administrator. This is described in the readme file of the agents,
and you're adviced to change the default passwords during the installation.

Hi,

Can someone tell me if the following log item is normal.
Garbage (2301), Destination 255.255.255.255, reject, rule 0, origin Firewall

I get this "broadcast" every 1.5 min on all the interfaces of the firewall.

NT 4.0
SP 5
FW-1 4.1

Any information will help.
