RE: [FW1] Gigabit Ethernet interfaces ?

Sun recommendatio: 100 MHz of CPU per Ethernet interface being utilized.

I think that you can install a Gigabit-Ethernt on a firewall system, but the
firewall throughput is less than 1Gbps.

Asunto: [FW1] Gigabit Ethernet interfaces ?

I am planning on deploying a FW-1 Stonebeat HA pair in one of our branches.
The
platform I am using is going to be 2 x SUN E450 Servers with 2 SUN Quad
interfaces in each giving a total of 9 interfaces in each server. I am also
inquiring whether anyone has installed a Gigabit Ethernet adapter (If one
exists) in this model ? and whether FW-1 supports it.
I also heard that SUN does not recommend going over the 100Mhz CPU power
per
100FDX adapter, is this true ? , is a E450 OK for this type of installation.
I
am trying to avoid as much latency as possible.

Thanks in advance

-Alan
