What my experience has been is that if you are running Windows 98 and cable
provider locks the DHCP to the MAC address of the Ethernet adapter (Media
ONE), it will not work.  However if you are running Windows NT you don't
have a problem at all.

are some steps we need to take to make SecuRemote work with cablemodem?

(it works with regular dial-up connections, for example, with Earthlink).
