We've taken a close look at Alteon, F5 and Foundry (all hardware solutions),
and Foundry Server Iron Layer 4 switches gave us the most bang for the buck.

I stayed at the Checkpoint Experience, on the HA panel and this
are my notes, from the panelists' speech:
* Rainfinity only makes the HA software for Chekpoint firewall, so
        it seems that their integration may be good (at least in
        paper) - software based
* Resilience claims to have "Continuous availability" instead of
        "High Availability" - hardware based
* Alteon Web Systems - Hardware based, with clients like 
        UUNET and GTE Internetworking
* Stonesoft - you may put up to 64 firewalls with load balancing 
        and HA cluster. A lot of customers with their software
        installed and someone of them is running Floogate with
        no problems

From the guys at Checkpoint: the HA module in CP2000 is good,
but the 3rd party solutions have better results. :-P

My experience:
* A partner has a cluster running with the Qualix software
        http://www.qualix.com/legato.cluster.firewall.index.html
and it runs pretty well.
