RE: [FW1] Secure Remote Windows 95/98 domain authentication
Mofifying the following registry key will allow you to start
explorer.exe before the logon process:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices
set the default value to explorer.exe or create a new string value with
explorer.exe as value... (reg file after this mail)
(this has been tested under Windows 98)
When you reboot, you'll see the logon screen and at the same time the
explorer. If the Securemote is started by the startup folder, you should
be able now to enter the FW-1 logon and password, after logon on your NT
domain. For this to work properly, you need also proper name resolution
LMHOSTS file or WINS server...
