RE: [FW1] Syntax Errors Compiling on FW-1 4.0
I got the same problem also when upgrading the FW-1 version from 3.0b to 4.0.
It seems like there were incompatible libraries between the versions. I don't
know whether someone else got it also. What I did was recreate all the objects
and the policy rule in version 4.0, and it compiled OK. The users database
could be imported and exported without problem. But, of course, I didn't have
that many objects and rules. Hope this help.
regards,
fredrick

Subject: [FW1] Syntax Errors Compiling on FW-1 4.0
I'm attempting to create a FW-1 4.0 box to replace our current 3.0a
configuration. I've installed 4.0 and copied fwauth.NDB, objects.C, and
*.W from the old box to the new conf directory. I then did a "fwm -g
*.W". Now, whenever I try to compile a policy, it creates a .pf file with
"ver30" included in the name, and I get syntax errors when compiling,
always at a line in the .pf file that looks OK to me.
Any thoughts?
