Hi Everyone,

we are running FW-1 3.0b on a ex-Netra server (Ultra2?) and we are having
some problems sometimes with dropped
connections (primarily FTP but also HTTP).
We have a 256kbit connection to our Internetprovider and are using a DMZ for
www, mail, DNS and
address-translation (hide) for our internal net with at least 150 hosts. We
suspect that the dropped connections
is because the low amount of memory (64Mb today) in the server running the
FW. We will now very soon get an upgrade
to a 512kbit Internet-connection. Will our server be enougth for the load if
we buy some more memory? Or
do we have to think about upgrading to a faster mashine?

Serverdata:

FW-1 3.0b
Sol 2.6
143 MHz UtraSPARC
64 Mb RAM
2.1 Gbyte Fast SCSI-2 Disk
4.2 Gbyte 7200 RPM Fast/Wide SCSI-2 Disk (External, for logs)
Internal 10/100 Mbit Ethernet
SBUS Quad Ethernet Controller 1.1 (SQEC)
