[FW1] ARP and NAT question

Hi guys,

2 question :

1.Regarding ARP, I encountered a problem on a Dell machine with Linux on and
4.1 SP2. I issued static nat and I published ( tried... ) the arp address
but the fw did not publish the arp's although I did not necessary steps such
as arp -s ip address ma address pub. I pinged the machine and watch using
tcpdump that an arp request was issued and fw did not answer, I even
switched nic but still no arp, any ideas ??

2.Nat, when doing a static NAT, am I to put in the rules the valid ip or the
invalid IP, does the fw goes throw the nat table before the rulebase ??
