Actually you can run fwui, without a Motif license, since fwui is not a
Motif application. However you can also run across a bed of hot coals and
pretend you didnt get burned. My advice, dont even use fwui. Either buy
Motif, or use the Windows remote GUI.

      Yes, you need to have a Motif lic. if you want to use the
      Motif GUI. That doesn't mean you can't use a remote GUI,
      which are free.

      Is it possible to run fwui without the motif license?  A
      couple of
      posts last week seemed to imply that.

      But when I try, I get a popup window saying:

              No license for running a Motif client

      and then a 2nd popup window:

              Cannot connect to server!

      In the cpmgmt.aud log file, the following appears:

      Fri Oct 27 10:52:05 2000   ------------------------------:
      Login failed - no
      license for Motif clients

      This is with FW-1 4.1 on Solaris 2.6.
