My first guess is that you're internal network has ron-routable (RFC
1918) ip addressing. You would neet to use NAT here, but without FW-1
installed the router drops those 

My second guess is that the router does not actually know the route to
your internal network, or because of your subnetting, does not know it
correctly.

My third guess is that the router does not actually know the route to
your internal netowrk, check this again. It's important ;-)

My fourth guess is that you should give up and run away to tibet to
become a monk, living a life of serenity and solitude, without all the
hassles of internetwork routing.
