RE: [FW1] Pings in log file
Because you have "ACCEPT ICMP" set in your policy properties?
And when you've picked yourself up off the floor, call Checkpoint
and shout at them for making such a basically stupid facility.
[begin rant]
Firewalls should log EVERYTHING by default, not miss out a huge
swathe of high risk traffic out of your logs. I'm a firm believer
that the admins should be responsible for hiding the miscellaneous
spam in their logs, not searching knowledge bases trying to find out
how to get their damn product to log what it should be logging in the
first place.
[end rant]
Scott.
