Another advnatage on the Websense or other products is that they continually
update the list and push it down to you.  No management needed.  Lets face
it there are more sites added everyday and for a person to be able to keep
up with these new sites would require that to be a full time job.

Actually, if you you FW's filtered web list, you have to provide a flat text
file list of www servers that you want to allow access to (not the sites you
dont want people to visit).  This is, for all practical purposes, an
impossible
task.

Hi all,

I'm going to be running FW-1 4.0 on an NT 4.0 server.  I'm looking towards
purchasing a URL filtering software such as Web Sense but I also heard there
are
web sites that provide lists of web sites for free so you can create your
own
list and use FW's built in Web Site (URL) filtering feature.  Can anyone
point
me to such a web site?  I'd like to see how comprehensive their lists are
and
how they are maintained.

I guess once I have the list, I can create a text file and have FW look at
it to
restrict URL access.
