Rainwall is a software-only, OPSEC-certified solution for use with Check
Point FW-1.  No additional hardware needed, other than the additional
servers, and no dedicated heartbeat link between servers required to provide
HA & Load Balancing.

Rainwall manages pools of virtual IP addresses.  Virtual IP addresses are
assigned to network interfaces and dynamically assigned to machines in the
cluster.  Rainwall monitors inbound and outbound gateway traffic to ensure
availability and to determine load on each server.  Rainwall then moves
virtual IP's between gateway machines, using RAINfinity's Consistent State
Sharing Technology, to optimize load on each gateway machine.  Since each
gateway machine also maintains its own identity (MAC address), Rainwall can
provide extremely high scalability & performance.  Rainwall will also
auto-recover any failed machine in the cluster once the failed machine (or
point of failure) has been corrected.
