[FW1] fwd daemon frequently going down

Hi List

We run FW -1 Ver4.0 on s Solaris box. 
Lately we have been experiencing a strange problem. For no unknown reasons,
the  "fwd" dies.
When this happens, I have to go to the console and run /opt/FWDIR/bin/fwd.
It will run for approximately an hour and then die !

I have written a little script to check for the daemon and start it if it is
down. But what causes it to go down in the first place ?

Any ideas will be greatly appreciated.
