[FW1] Upgrade problems
I am testing an upgrade from Solstice Firewall1 v3.0b to Checkpoint FW1
v4.0 on a local machine before going to a client site. It is on a Sparc
5. Solaris 2.5.1 initially and going to 2.6 as part of the process. I am
trying to upgrade the FW1 to 4.0 on 2.5.1 then upgrade to Solaris 2.6.
The machine has only a single ethernet port unfortunately but I have set
up multiple interfaces on the one physical port. Is that going to be a
problem? (not for real operation or security but to check successful
compiling and loading of the policy)
I have the clients licenses - installed 3.0 on 2.5.1 - clean OS install.
Installed the licenses then I copied the clients config files (*.C,
fwusers.NBD, objects.C etc.) and tried to start it up. When I try to `fw
load <file> servername` it compiles everything just fine but then I get
a message "Failed to Load Security Policy: No valid FM license"
Installating Security Policy on localhost (servername) failed.
Anyone have an idea what this means?
