[FW1] Strange Timeouts..

We have timeouts on most everything set to above 3600 seconds.. 

When transferring large files (100+ megs) via ftp.. They seem
to all die about 1/2 way through. .The only place we can track
this to is the firewall, since when we do it going
around the firewall, it seems to work OK. 

Is there something I might be missing? They also seem to work
better when I do the ftp through an SSH tunnel to the other machine.
No timeouts like we were getting before.

These are going through machines that are all behind NAT on firewall-1
4.0, on solaris 2.6 on a Sparc 5. We have dual t1's, and are connecting
11 hops to dual ds3's for the transfers..

Any ideas?
