[FW1] Installing and configuring SecurRemote to work
Hi,
I'm trying to get SecurRemote client to work on Win 95 (and then NT4.0). We are
running VPN-1 4.0 SP3 w/o hotfix. First I could not get FWZ to even download the
site topology. Then I changed to using ISAKMP which allowed me to get the site
topology downloaded. I've been encountering problems authenticating to the
securemote server. It always comes back with "user is not defined properly". I
think I've tried most, if not all, logical (meaning matching among user, server
and client) combinations on the encryption settings and still cannot get around
this error. The only time I could get around this error was when I chose Data
Integrity Only (AH) instead of Encryption + Data Integrity (ESP) in Transform of
the "User properties" but that did not give me encryption !
I'm wondering if there is service packs, patches or fixes that I need to apply
to get it work such as SP4 or SP3 Hot Fix. My current running versions are:
SecurRemote for WIN 95 build 4005
VPN-1 and FW-1 V4.0 Build 4053 [VPN+DES] (<=> SP 3) on Solaris 2.6
Any pointers to useful info and resources would be most appreciated.
Thanks
Bernard
