Re: [FW1] a little courtesy

I disagree. Notwithstanding your wish to ensure that the list remain free
of debris (autoresponses), which is admirable, I feel it is educative to
occasionally be subjected to things which don't specifically focus on the
technical aspects of the job. By knowing what other people's concerns are,
you can better predict the challenges to come.

I use the delete key to clear dross from my inbox. But I occasionally open
a message which doesn't immediately concern me - to retain perspective.

It hasn't bothered me as much as before as it has over the last 2 days,
but it is annoying all of the time. If you're going on vacation, and you
are going to set up a vavation filter, please, pease, please exclude
your mailing list mesages, or temporarliy unsubscribe from the list.
Every time I send a message to the list, I get at least three responses
from people on vacation.

BTW, for those of you who agree/disagree, please don't send follow up
posts to the list, it will only generate more noise on an already noisy
mailing list. If you want to make noise, send a message TO CHECKPOINT
--> fw-1-mailinglist-approval@lists.us.checkpoint.com (not to the list)
asking that they break this list up into more specific topics. I asked
them about a month ago, and they said "It will happen, but not for
awhile." They didn't respond when I asked why" I think 1000+ messages a
month qualifies for a list split.

Thanks everyone for sharing your knowledge,
