[FW1] upgrade to 4.0 question

I am upgrading my fw both hardware and software.  Currently it is solstice
3.0b 3072 on a sparc.  I have a new ultra that will replace the sparc and
it is loaded with fw 4.0sp3.    I just want to double check something.   I
was told I could take my objects.C file and rules and bring them over to
the new machine.  Somehow that doesn't sound quite right.  When I eyeball
the default objects.C on 4.0 there are many new default objects that would
not be in my current objects.C  and I wonder about changes with the
rulebase.

Can someone advise me?
