[FW1] FW-1 v3.0 to v4.0 upgrade

I'm in the process of planning the upgrades for our firewalls.
There are 6 Remote Links with FW-1 modules. 1 management station on Solaris.
All FW  are v3.0b
NO VPN currently setup.

Can anyone please comment on resources/personal experiences 
All comments will be appreciated.
