Using Sun's drivers shipped with the qfe NICs we had similar problems
under Solaris 2.6. Several bugs have been fixed with patches available
from Sunsolve. Afaik for Solaris 2.6 the patch IDs are

105541-05	quad fastethernet driver patch /kernel/drv/qfe for SBus
106532-03	quad fastethernet driver patch /kernel/drv/qfe for PCI
105795-05	fastethernet driver patch /kernel/drv/hme for SBus
