Which method are you using for exporting log, GUI?  command ?
If you export a log by "fw logexport" command and a logfile is big,
try -r option.

	fw logexport -r record_chunk_size -i inputfile -o outputfile

Without -r option, fw logexport will read all date into memory. 
It would cause lack of machine resources.
