RE: [FW1] ARP Request does not work with Tokenring
Hi Mike
I tried to answer your questions.
Are the static addresses (public addresses) in the local.arp file
as well as their MAC addresses?
Yes they are in the local.arp file with the MAC Address of the firewall.
Do you have a static route in the NT machine routing the public address
to the translated address?
Yes I made the single host route on the firewall for routing of the public
to the translated addresses.
Has the firewall been restarted after the local.arp file was last edited?
Yes the firewall has been restarted after the local.arp file was edited. net
stop fw1svc and net start fw1svc.
I have translated on both Token Ring and Ethernet with no problem, but
you need to have done all three steps above.
What tokenring adapter do you use? This might solve the problem i have.
Regards
Chris
