[FW1] Firewall log Switching Problem

Hi,

I have a Checkpoint-1 ver 3.0b patch 3072 control module that I
use to control lots of other firewalls with pfm licenses. The 
management firewall keeps both the rulebases for all these firewalls
and also their logs.

Problem that I face
I see that the firewall log on the management system gets switched 
automatically very often, 100-110 times a day. When the switching 
happens, the ".log" file size is less than 100Kb, the ".alog" file 
is 0b, the ".alogptr" file size is always 4096 bytes.

I contacted Checkpoint and the solution was to reinstall the firewall
on the management system, is there any other way around this ?
