Well, I'm taking it because my company wants to be a partner with
Checkpoint.  Depending on the partner level you wish, you need at least one
CCSE in your organization.  Plus, it does help a little to have a
certification now a days.  There seems to be a certification fever now.

I took the CCSA and CCSE classes, plus I use the product quite a bit, so at
least I'll not contribute to making the cert. seem useless.

But, the CCSE class was pretty bad.  They crammed three days of stuff into
two days.  For me it wasn't bad since I knew aboug 50% of what was covered
already, but the people starting from scratch were having a hard time, and
the instructor spent a lot of time helping them in the labs.

So, I guess just my student guides will be enough, eh?  Hope they don't ask
every minor detail about all the various encryption schemes.

Why are people taking the CCSA/CCSE exams?  As a person that doesn't believe
too
much in certifications I am wondering why people are paying money to obtain
a
piece of paper that says they know how to do their job.  This is even more
valid
when you consider that everyone says there are wrong answers and misleading
questions on the test.

I know I probably won't get any answers back but thought I would ask.
