RE: [FW1] Telnet is slow

Does your IP address resolve using dns. I know this same problem happens with
AIX since the telnet daemon tries to resolve your IP back to a hostname and it
has to wait for this to timeout. I don't know if this is the same with Solaris
though.

Almost everytime I have to telnet to my Firewall-1, I´m getting a slow
response to get the login prompt. It is running in a Solaris 2.5.1 box.

After I finally got authenticated, my telnet sessions runs well. It is very
slow just to do the login.

Would it be normal?

Thanks,
