I cant but help to disagree. The cert exams don't mean anything really,
I've taking and passed tests for Novell, Microsoft and Checkpoint. There
are so many things tests don't cover that are (potentially) important.
How many things with Microsoft Products alone are undocumented?
You want to know what a person's qualifications are? have a technical
interview, Ask him real-world questions. I've interviewed with alot of
people and I've only ever had one that actually had a box of network
parts, threw them on the table and asked me to identify them. Paper cert
people can look a book and answer questions sure, but can they tell you
what the difference is between a Cat3 cable or a Cat5 cable when it's in
front of them (could they make one?)? Or tell you how to make a NT ERD
that has current user information on it?
