Re: [FW1] implicit client authentication?

This rule makes user auth simulate as if you opened a client auth rule with
Standard sign on specified.

Subject: [FW1] implicit client authentication?

Hello all,

I have a question I hope someone can answer. I found a referenceguide (by
Steven Yurkunas -checkpoint consultant) from a link off phoneboy's site and
I had a couple of questions?

The quick reference has the following two rules as examples for implicit
client authentication

SRC DST SERV
Action
validusers@any server_www http user auth
validusers@any server_www https client auth

This is clear, but a change is also needed to the objects.C file as...

"In the objects.C file, change the 'automatically_open_ca_rules' parameter
from (False), to (True)."

That is clear as well, but I wanted to find out what else may be affected
by the change to the objects.C. What is the reason for the default of
this parameter to be False? I wanted to be sure I understood this change
before making it.

Thanks,
Donna
