[FW1] FireWall-1 FTP performance problems

I should add that I am doing no logging.

Also ... telnet to my firewall gets painfully slow at precisely the same
times that ftp thruput across my firewall suffers, however telnet across my
firewall
suffers no performance degredation, nor does anything else (http, etc)

No - no CVP servers are involved

When network traffic is light, my FTP data thruput is instantly cut in half
as soon as I do a fwstart. During peak hours, my FTP thruput is cut by 90%.
I have just one "accept all" rule defined. Even at peak periods, my
Connections Table has only about 7,000 entried. I am baffled, and thus far
no help from Checkpoint.
