Hi,

I've found few useful survey but I believe the CMU report, State of the
Practice of Intrusion Detection Technologies, is the most recent and the best
so far. At the end of the report you can find summary of other related survey.


Don't forget to visit RAID homepage, http://www.raid-symposium.org/ and you
probably end up writing a new survey yourself :-)

Hello Everyone:
I am quite new on this list and I hope my question is in the line of 
the relevant topics. I would appreciate if anyone could help me 
locate some recent survey papers on IDS. I am trying to find out:
1.  The major approaches (from research or commercial products)   
     to detecting or managing intrusion and
2. The future research trends.
