Dear Sirs:

I am still writing an answer to all of you that kindly assisted me in coping
with tampering of everything that is computer in the company I work for.
Sorry for taking so long but I have been quite busy.

I have another question that may be some of the List Members could answer.

Following the tampering of my computers BIOS and knowing also what happened
with the Chernobyl Virus with means of also destroying BIOS, I tried to
contact ASUStek to find out if it was possible to change Flash EPROM's for
the older UV erasable EPROM's

This would give a added security against tampering and contamination.

Their answer is below:

Is it possible somehow to circumvent this problem, even with some
shortcomings or is it completely impossible ?

Thank you for your time and interest
All the best
Luiz

|The ESCD can't be updated during system boot if you use EPROM instead of
EEPROM.
